The governments of the United Kingdom, Germany, and France have stated their readiness to use military force if Iran does not cease "indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks" on their allies in the Middle East. The joint statement was released by the German government's press office.
According to authorities, Iran's strikes pose a threat to both military personnel and civilians of these countries. The statement notes: "We will take steps to protect our interests and those of our allies in the region, including, if necessary, ensuring the adoption of necessary and proportionate defensive measures to destroy Iran's capabilities to launch missiles and drones at their launch sites."
The countries have agreed to coordinate actions with the United States and other allies. Iran's missile attacks target not only Israel but also regional states hosting U.S. military facilities—Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Jordan.
Witnesses report that the missile strikes affect not only military bases but also civilian infrastructure.
