Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated that Iran will not engage in negotiations with the United States. He dismissed reports of potential contacts through Oman or other intermediaries as "incorrect and fabricated".

Larijani wrote on social media platform X: "We will not hold any talks with America".

He claimed that Donald Trump "plunged the Middle East into chaos with his empty hopes" and is now fearing "further losses among American troops".

Larijani also noted that the "America First" slogan has effectively turned into "Israel First", with American soldiers becoming victims of Israel's power aspirations.

The statement was in response to a Wall Street Journal report alleging that Larijani had conveyed an initiative via Oman to resume diplomatic consultations with the US on Iran's nuclear dossier.

Previously, US President Donald Trump stated that Tehran was willing to hold talks with Washington and expressed his openness to dialogue.

Recall that on February 28, Israel and the US conducted strikes on Iranian territory, resulting in the deaths of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking military officials. Iran retaliated with strikes on US military bases in the Middle East and Israeli territory.
