Anvar Rajabov, deputy governor of Jarkurgan district in Surkhandarya region, has been dismissed for ordering compulsory money collection from teachers at School No. 33.
Teachers reported to Kun.uz that they were forced to contribute 25,000 soums each under the guise of "Ramadan charity." School director Oysara Uzakova stated in a Telegram group that the directive came from deputy governor Anvar Rajabov.
The Surkhandarya regional administration confirmed that Rajabov's order violated legal requirements, including the principle of voluntariness. He has been removed from his position, and investigation materials have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies.
