Tashkent, March 2 – AN Podrobno.uz. A traffic accident involving a pedestrian occurred in the morning in the Bektemir district. Around 08:15 on the Tashkent Ring Road, a 19-year-old driver of a Damas vehicle struck an 18-year-old girl. According to reports, the victim was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing at the time of the collision.

An ambulance team promptly arrived at the scene. The girl is currently under medical supervision: diagnostic procedures are being conducted to assess the severity of her injuries and rule out hidden damage.

Officers from the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent Main Internal Affairs Directorate have initiated a pre-investigation check. Law enforcement is reviewing surveillance camera footage and interviewing witnesses. The investigation will examine compliance with pedestrian crossing rules and the vehicle's technical condition.

Based on the check results, a final legal assessment will be made regarding the young driver's actions.
