The Taxiatosh Thermal Power Plant (TPP) is being returned to the management and state control of JSC "Thermal Power Plants." This is stipulated in a presidential decree dated February 25.

Previously, the plant was under the trust management of Smart Integrity me. According to documents, the company acquired 100% of Taxiatosh TPP's shares in trust management based on a contract dated September 18, 2023. The newspaper reported in July 2024 that the same company also managed the Tashkent and Navoi TPPs.

Taxiatosh TPP ended 2023 with a profit of 4.37 billion soums. For comparison, this figure was 382.9 billion soums in 2021 and 56.6 billion soums in 2022. For 2024, revenue of 3.39 trillion soums and net profit of 4.4 billion soums were planned.

According to nine-month results for 2024, most key performance indicators (KPIs) were not met. Net profit was 2.12 billion soums, revenue was 2.17 trillion soums. Over nine months of 2025, net profit increased to 4.7 billion soums, while revenue reached 2.3 trillion soums. Operating expenses rose by 45%, amounting to 96.4 billion soums.

The newspaper sent inquiries to the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Economy and Finance to clarify whether the Tashkent and Navoi TPPs remain under Smart Integrity me's management.

Smart Integrity me was registered in January 2023. Initially led by Farhod Abdurakhmanov, the company is now directed by Iskandar Basidov. Its sole founder is New Industrial Technologies.

Taxiatosh TPP is located in Karakalpakstan and is a key energy source in northwestern Uzbekistan. It is part of JSC "Thermal Power Plants," established in 2019 as part of power sector reforms.
