The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan organized the return of 41 citizens of the republic from Iran via Turkmenistan, according to a report by Dunyo news agency.
According to the agency, the embassies of Uzbekistan in Ashgabat and Tehran, together with the relevant authorities of Turkmenistan, promptly resolved visa issues and matters related to organizing the transportation of compatriots.
It is noted that with the assistance of the Turkmen side, Uzbek citizens were met at the border checkpoints "Sarakhs – Serakhs" and "Gaudan – Bajgiran." Diplomats ensured their escort and safe return to their homeland.
The foreign ministry emphasized that the protection of the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens remains an unconditional priority of foreign policy.
