According to Uzbekistan's State Statistics Committee, consumer prices rose by 0.6% in April, marking the third consecutive month at this level.

Compared to April 2025, monthly inflation edged down by 0.1 percentage point. In the first four months of 2026, prices increased by 2.5%, which is 0.4 percentage points lower than the same period last year.

Annual inflation slowed to 7%, down 3.1 percentage points from a year earlier, reaching one of the lowest levels in recent years.

Core inflation (excluding fruits and vegetables) stood at 0.6% in April. On an annual basis, it fell to 7.6%, a decline of 4.7 percentage points year-on-year.

Food price growth moderated slightly to 1% in April from 1.2% in March. Annually, food prices rose by 5.9%, nearly 1.5 times higher than the previous year.

Non-food goods increased by 0.3% in April and 5.2% over the last 12 months. Paid services rose by 0.4% monthly, but annual growth slowed to 12% from 26.1% a year earlier.

The highest monthly inflation among regions was recorded in Tashkent (0.8%) and Kashkadarya region (0.7%). Six other regions saw 0.6%, while the rest reported 0.5%.

For annual inflation, Karakalpakstan (7.4%) and Khorezm region (7.3%) led. The lowest annual inflation was again in Jizzakh region (6.3%). Tashkent's annual inflation stood at 6.9%.
