️ Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. Since February 28, 5,183 citizens have been brought to Uzbekistan after being stranded in Middle Eastern countries due to sudden airspace closures. ️ The Ministry of Transport reported that the majority were evacuated from Saudi Arabia. Resident airlines... operated 21 flights from Medina and Jeddah, repatriating 4,948 people. Another 235 citizens arrived via a special flight from Dubai (UAE). ️ Between February 28 and March 2, due to the escalation of the regional situation and flight restrictions, 1,681 Uzbek citizens were unable to depart on time from Kuwait, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. ️ Currently, the airspace of several countries, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Israel, Jordan, the UAE, and Lebanon, remains closed or restricted for varying periods. ️ On the instruction of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with domestic airlines, swiftly developed an evacuation plan. A 24/7 operational headquarters has been established at the “Uzaviation” agency to coordinate flights and assist passengers. ️ The ministry urged citizens to rely only on official information sources and to contact airline offices or the “Uzaviation” call center, operational 24/7 (+998 (78) 120-00-72 +998 (71) 200-07-65).
