Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. In the Bekabad district of Tashkent region, the body of a 43-year-old man killed in a traffic accident involving a police officer in December last year has been discovered. After 80 days since the crash and the pedestrian's disappearance, his remains were found in the "Dustlik" canal under a layer of sand and coastal vegetation.

Recall that the incident occurred on December 11 in the "Koraquyli" neighborhood. The law enforcement officer driving a Nexia-3 hit the 43-year-old pedestrian, who died at the scene. It was reported that after the collision, the suspect loaded the victim's body into the car, called his spouse, and together they transferred the body to another vehicle, transported it about 35 kilometers, and dumped it into the Farhad canal in the "Shova" neighborhood.

The search operation lasted nearly three months and involved over 150 people, including Emergency Ministry rescuers and volunteers. Specialists from the regional administration were engaged to lower the water level in the canal, but the body was only found on February 28, 2026, four kilometers downstream from the dumping site. The victim's relatives confirmed his identity.
