️ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi stated that the agency has no evidence Iran is developing a nuclear bomb, but it also cannot confirm the exclusively peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program. Grossi published the statement on social media platform X.
️... Grossi noted: “Despite the lack of evidence that Iran is creating a nuclear bomb, its large stockpiles of uranium enriched close to weapons-grade and refusal to grant my inspectors full access raise serious concerns.”
️ He emphasized that until Iran assists the IAEA in resolving safeguards issues, the agency cannot confirm that the country's nuclear program has exclusively peaceful intentions.
️ Previously, Grossi told the IAEA Board of Governors that the agency is monitoring with alarm the escalation of hostilities in the Middle East. On the same day, Iran reported damage to a nuclear facility in the city of Natanz from airstrikes during a military operation by the US and Israeli regimes.
