️ Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Baxtiyor Saidov and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation. During the talk, the Azerbaijani side informed about a drone attack on Nakhchivan, civilian casualties, and damage to civil infrastructure.
️ Baxtiyor Saidov expressed Uzbekistan's serious concern regarding these attacks. He emphasized that such actions, which contradict international law principles and violate another state's sovereignty and territorial integrity, are absolutely unacceptable.
️ It is recalled that on March 5, in the afternoon, two drones launched from Iranian territory crashed in Azerbaijan—on the runway of an airport in Nakhchivan and near a rural school. Two local civilians were injured.
️ Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded an explanation from Iran and summoned the Iranian ambassador to express protest.
