Law enforcement in Tashkent has thwarted attempts to illegally trade potent medicinal drugs. During a series of special operations, several citizens were detained, and hundreds of units of prohibited medications were seized.

According to the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office, in the Yashnabad district, two suspects—one with a prior criminal record—were stopped and searched. Approximately 600 units of potent drugs were confiscated from them.

Another incident occurred in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district. During an operational measure, two citizens were detained for allegedly conspiring to sell 20 tablets of the drug "Regapen" to a buyer. Upon arrest, a total of 34 units of potent substances were seized.

Criminal cases have been initiated under Article 251-1 (illegal trafficking of potent and toxic substances) for all identified incidents. Investigative actions are currently underway.

Earlier, in the capital and the Kibray district, individuals suspected of illegally selling potent drugs "Tropicamide" and "Regapen" were detained.
