The 17th round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and India took place in Delhi. The Uzbek delegation was led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtromjon Aloev, while the Indian side was represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Siby George.
The talks, held in a constructive atmosphere, focused on analyzing the current state of strategic partnership and identifying avenues for its further deepening.
Diplomats noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of ties in key sectors such as information technology, pharmaceuticals, medicine, and education. Special attention was paid to civil aviation, tourism, and expanding interregional cooperation. The sides confirmed their readiness to support mutually beneficial investment projects and create favorable conditions for business in both countries.
Within the international bloc of consultations, an exchange of views took place on coordinating efforts on global platforms. Participants discussed issues of ensuring regional security and outlined steps to enrich interaction with new initiatives within multilateral frameworks.
