Tashkent, Podrobno.uz. The Tashkent city administration has announced changes to the traffic flow scheme around Amir Temur Square. The new project aims to reduce congestion and ensure pedestrian safety in the capital's center.

One of the key changes will be the removal of metal barriers at the crossing from the 'Broadway' promenade to the square. Instead, a 'smart' traffic light will be installed for pedestrians. At the intersections of Makhtumkuli and Amir Temur streets, safety islands will be organized and additional regulating traffic lights will be introduced.

To promote tourism, special parking spaces for tourist buses will be created near the State Museum of the Temurids History and the 'Uzbekistan' hotel. According to experts, the new scheme will increase the capacity of the ring road around the square from 5,600 to 6,000 vehicles per hour.
