Saodat Usmonova, the director of State Preschool Educational Institution No. 11 in Tashkent District, has been fully acquitted by the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan on all charges. The publication Kun.uz, after reviewing court documents, provided detailed coverage of this case.
According to the initial charges, Usmonova, in collusion with the head of LLC "Poytaxt G'oya Taom," allegedly falsified records in food acceptance and transfer acts from February 15 to April 30, 2024, and embezzled 13 million 153 thousand soums. She was also accused of overspending on employee salaries at the kindergarten in 2023, leading to a misappropriation of 20.7 million soums.
The district court sentenced her to 3 years of restricted freedom with a 2-year ban on holding positions involving financial responsibility. The appellate court replaced this punishment with a fine of 10.2 million soums and a 1-year ban on such positions.
The supervisory instance of the regional court acquitted Usmonova on the salary overspending charge (20.7 million soums) but upheld the rest of the verdict. However, Usmonova appealed to the Supreme Court.
On April 7, 2026, the judicial panel for criminal cases of the Supreme Court overturned all previous decisions and fully acquitted Usmonova due to the absence of criminal elements in her actions. This decision highlights the critical role of the judiciary in reviewing evidence and ensuring justice.
