️ According to the press service of the Ecology Department of Samarkand Region, a resident of the "Zarkurgan" neighborhood illegally cut down two poplar trees without permission. The trees were located on the border of his property adjacent to the Kattakurgan Forestry.

️ For this violation, the individual has been fined 25 basic calculation units (BRV), amounting to over 10 million Uzbek soums. This penalty is part of stringent measures being enforced by authorities to address environmental infractions and protect green spaces in the region.

️ Previously, another resident in Samarkand faced similar consequences for illegal tree cutting, being required not only to pay a substantial fine but also to plant ten times the number of trees that were felled. These incidents highlight a consistent approach to maintaining ecological discipline and promoting reforestation efforts.

️ The government of Uzbekistan has been placing increased emphasis on environmental protection and the preservation of green areas in recent years. This includes the implementation of heavy fines for violations and measures that compel offenders to participate in restoration activities, such as mandatory tree planting, to mitigate the impact of their actions.
