️ In Uzbekistan, the estimated cost of minimum consumer expenditure for 2026 has been set at 715,000 sum per person per month. This was reported by the press service of the Statistics Agency under the president. The indicator is widely used in global practice as a poverty threshold and plays a crucial role in shaping the country's socio-economic policies.

️ According to the data, in 2025, this amount was established at 669,000 sum, indicating a 6.9% increase for 2026. Throughout 2024, the poverty line was raised twice: initially at the start of the year from 568,000 to 621,000 sum, and then from May 1, due to increases in gas and electricity tariffs, by another 4.3% – reaching 648,000 sum per month. In annual terms, the indicator rose by 7.7% in 2024.

️ Based on information from the Statistics Agency, inflation in Uzbekistan in 2025 stood at 7.3%, down from the previous year (9.8%), yet the steady rise in minimum consumer expenditure continues to exert pressure on living standards, particularly for vulnerable segments of the population. This trend reflects issues tied to economic challenges and price hikes, highlighting ongoing social pressures despite some moderation in inflation rates.
