️ As of March 4, against the backdrop of events in the Middle East region, no Uzbek citizens have been reported killed or injured. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. ️ The ministry emphasized that the situation in the region is under constant control. In this... regard, Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions and consular institutions in Middle Eastern countries are implementing comprehensive measures to ensure citizen safety and provide support. ️ It is reported that Uzbekistan's embassies and consulates in regional countries are monitoring the socio-political and military-political situation 24 hours a day. Additionally, constant cooperation has been established with the foreign affairs ministries, law enforcement agencies, civil protection services, and aviation administrations of host countries. ️ According to the ministry, "hotlines" have been organized at embassies and consulates. Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' call center is actively operating. All inquiries from citizens are being registered and continuously studied. ️ According to the latest data, a total of 2,144 inquiries have been received from citizens in the Middle East region. It is stated that the inquiries primarily relate to issues of evacuation, cancellation or rescheduling of flights, provision of temporary accommodation, and financial difficulties associated with extended stays in the country. ️ Targeted consular and financial assistance is being provided to them. In particular, financial aid has been extended to some citizens through the "Vatandosh" fund at airports in Dubai, Sharjah, and Doha. Additionally, citizens are being regularly informed via official websites and social media about precautionary measures, flight statuses, and action algorithms. ️ At the same time, in accordance with the president's instructions, systematic work is being carried out to repatriate Uzbek citizens from Middle Eastern countries. Considering the situation in the Middle East region and the need to ensure the safety of compatriots, regular and additional flights are being organized. ️ Specifically, evacuation efforts are underway from Saudi Arabia. The issue of organizing repatriation flights by Uzbekistan Airways from the United Arab Emirates has been developed. Moreover, work continues on coordinating charter flights with airlines and aligning with regional aviation regulators. ️ The ministry stressed that, despite limited opportunities due to airspace closures and "air attack" regimes in some countries, efforts to ensure citizen safety and repatriation are being continuously pursued. ️ Previously, it was reported that an 11-year-old Uzbek child died at the scene in a road traffic accident in Qatar. Due to the regional situation and transport-logistics-related restrictions, the child was buried in Qatar with the family's consent. The Embassy of Uzbekistan assisted in the process.
