️ As of March 4, no casualties or injuries among Uzbek citizens have been recorded amid events in the Middle East region. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. ️ The ministry emphasized that the situation in the region is under constant control. Diplomatic missions... and consular institutions of Uzbekistan in Middle Eastern countries are implementing comprehensive measures to ensure citizen safety and provide support. ️ It is reported that Uzbekistan's embassies and consulates in regional countries are monitoring the socio-political and military-political situation 24/7. Additionally, constant cooperation has been established with the foreign affairs ministries, law enforcement agencies, civil protection services, and aviation administrations of host countries. ️ According to the ministry, "hotlines" have been organized at embassies and consulates. Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' call center is actively operating. All inquiries from citizens are registered and continuously reviewed. ️ Latest data indicates that a total of 2,144 inquiries have been received from citizens in the Middle East region. The inquiries are reportedly mainly related to evacuation, cancellation or rescheduling of flights, provision of temporary accommodation, and financial difficulties due to extended stays in the country. ️ Targeted consular and financial assistance is being provided to them. Specifically, financial aid has been extended to some citizens through the "Vatandosh" fund at Dubai, Sharjah, and Doha airports. Additionally, citizens are regularly informed via official websites and social media about precautionary measures, flight statuses, and action algorithms. ️ Meanwhile, in accordance with the president's directive, systematic work is underway to repatriate Uzbek citizens from Middle Eastern countries. Considering the regional situation and the need to ensure compatriot safety, regular and additional flights are being organized. ️ In particular, evacuation efforts are being carried out from Saudi Arabia. The issue of organizing repatriation flights by Uzbekistan Airways from the United Arab Emirates has been developed. Moreover, coordination work continues with airlines for charter flights and with regional aviation regulators. ️ The ministry stressed that, despite limited opportunities due to airspace closures and "air attack" regimes in some countries, efforts to ensure citizen safety and repatriation are ongoing continuously. ️ Previously, it was reported that an 11-year-old Uzbek child died at the scene of a traffic accident in Qatar. Due to the regional situation and transport-logistics restrictions, the child was buried in Qatar with family consent. The Uzbek embassy assisted in the process.
