️ As of March 4, against the backdrop of events in the Middle East region, no Uzbek citizens have been reported killed or injured. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. ️ The ministry emphasized that the situation in the region is under constant control. In this... regard, diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Uzbekistan in Middle Eastern countries are implementing comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of citizens and support them. ️ It is reported that Uzbekistan's embassies and consulates in regional countries are monitoring the socio-political and military-political situation 24 hours a day. Additionally, constant cooperation has been established with the foreign affairs offices, law enforcement agencies, civil protection services, and aviation administrations of host countries. ️ According to the ministry, "hotlines" have been organized at embassies and consulates. Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' call center is also operational. All inquiries from citizens are being registered and continuously studied. ️ According to recent data, a total of 2,144 inquiries have been received from citizens in the Middle East region. It is stated that the inquiries mainly relate to issues of evacuation, cancellation or rescheduling of flights, provision of temporary accommodation, and financial difficulties associated with extended stays in the country. ️ Targeted consular and financial assistance is being provided to them. In particular, financial aid has been provided to some citizens through the "Vatandosh" fund at airports in Dubai, Sharjah, and Doha. Additionally, citizens are regularly informed through official websites and social media about precautionary measures, flight statuses, and action algorithms. ️ At the same time, in accordance with the president's instructions, systematic work is being carried out to repatriate Uzbek citizens from Middle Eastern countries to their homeland. Taking into account the situation in the Middle East region and the need to ensure the safety of compatriots, regular and additional flights are being organized. ️ In particular, evacuation efforts are underway from Saudi Arabia. The issue of organizing repatriation flights by Uzbekistan Airways from the United Arab Emirates has been developed. Moreover, work continues to coordinate charter flights with airlines and align with regional aviation regulators. ️ The ministry stressed that, despite limited opportunities due to airspace closures and "air attack" regimes in some countries, work to ensure citizen safety and their repatriation is being carried out continuously. ️ Previously, it was reported that an 11-year-old Uzbek child died at the scene of a road traffic accident in Qatar. Due to the regional situation and transport-logistics-related restrictions, he was buried in Qatar with the family's consent. The Uzbek embassy assisted in the process.
