The President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree implementing a large-scale reshuffle of senior personnel within the Ministry of Health. The document aims to renew the composition of deputy ministers to strengthen key areas of healthcare development.
Otbek Sunnatovich Imamov has been appointed as First Deputy Minister of Health. Jalaliddin Sharafutdinovich Asamutdinov will now oversee compliance and internal anti-corruption control within the ministry, replacing Alisher Shukrullayevich Boboev, who was dismissed due to a transfer to another position.
Elvira Irkinovna Basitkhanova, who previously served as Deputy Minister, is also leaving the ministry. Another official, Farkhodjon Mukhammadjonovich Tashpulatov, has been relieved of his post.
Adkham Yusupovich Khudaykulov and Sherzod Dilmuratovich Mukhamedov have been appointed as Deputy Ministers.
Particular attention is drawn to the appointment of Ilkhomjon Urinboy ugli Umurzakov as Deputy Minister of Health. Previously, he served as Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, heading the Department for Public-Private Partnership Development. His move to the Ministry of Health is linked to the need for active implementation of PPP mechanisms in the country's medical infrastructure.
It is worth recalling that earlier, by presidential decree, Eldor Adilov was appointed as Minister of Health.
