He stated that he was drunk that day and left his phone, on which he had been viewing obscene images, near the girl, but rejected the charge of exposing his genitalia. οΈ The man admitted to offering the child's parents 2 million soums to avoid reporting to authorities, but the parents refused the money. οΈ A forensic psychological examination concluded that the victim can perceive the event according to her age and describe the circumstances of what happened. οΈ Regarding the incident on April 14, 2025, a criminal case was initiated on May 20. The internal affairs authorities conducting the investigation applied a bail measure against the suspect on January 5, 2026. οΈ On January 6, the preliminary investigation was completed, and the man was charged under clauses βvβ and βjβ of part 2 of Article 129 of the Criminal Code. οΈ This charge involves committing lewd acts without violence against a person under 14 years of age, as well as by a person legally entrusted with the duties of upbringing, education, and/or supervision of the victim, or an employee of an educational or upbringing institution. οΈ According to a Kun.uz source, today, March 4, the court sentenced the accused to 4 years of imprisonment. οΈ The investigation materials lack information that the suspect in pedophilia was suspended from work at the kindergarten, i.e., from activities involving children, during the period until the court verdict (over 10 months). οΈ It is recalled that according to a presidential decree signed recently, from November 1, 2026, the investigation of pedophilia and other sexual crimes will be transferred from internal affairs authorities to the prosecutor's office. The introduction of penalties up to life imprisonment for repeat pedophilia offenders is also expected β according to the decree, a draft law on this must be developed within 3 months.
