Uzbekistan's hydrometeorological agency, Uzgidromet, has issued a warning that heavy rainfall expected from May 15 to 22 could trigger mudslides and flash floods in the country's foothill and mountainous regions.

Authorities urge residents, vacationers, and drivers in these areas to take precautionary measures. Accumulated rainwater may lead to localized flooding, particularly in low-lying areas.

The agency advises avoiding riverbanks and streams, refraining from recreation in hazardous zones, and for drivers to exercise caution on mountain roads while monitoring weather updates regularly.
