The Tashkent city administration has launched a series of short video clips on 151 street monitors across the capital, highlighting the contribution of the Uzbek people to the victory in World War II, in commemoration of Remembrance and Appreciation Day.
According to the city administration, the materials were prepared based on archival data with the involvement of representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the Uzarchive agency, and the History Faculty of the National University.
The 12 types of video clips showcase the labor and heroism of the Uzbek people both at the front and on the home front. They include key facts about the participation of Uzbeks in battles and their selfless work in the rear.
The press service of the city administration stated that the project aims to convey historical memory to the younger generation, remind of the resilience and unity during the war years, and strengthen the spirit of respect for ancestors.
