The Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Rights Protection in Uzbekistan is investigating numerous complaints regarding the activities of Golden House Property Group LLC. According to the agency's press service, a total of 74 complaints were filed against the company in 2025 and the first quarter of 2026, with 54 of them resolved positively.

Most disputes were settled through mutual agreements or pre-trial mediation, resulting in a total recalculation of 1 billion 128.6 million sums in favor of consumers. In 2025, 40 citizens submitted complaints, of which 35 (87%) were resolved positively, including 31 cases settled by signing mutual agreements between the developer and citizens.

In the first quarter of 2026, complaints were received from 34 citizens, and the committee is currently taking measures. The agency notes that social media has also repeatedly discussed the increase in complaints regarding this construction company and the industry in general.

The total number of complaints to the committee has been rising sharply year by year: 19,000 in 2023, 28,000 in 2024, and 54,000 in 2025. The agency's statement said: "This indicates that business entities are not sufficiently complying with the requirements of current legislation when providing goods and services, and that there are problems in the industry."

Based on the above, the committee requested all construction companies to establish reasonable and clear deadlines when concluding contracts with consumers, based on the possibilities of completing construction, and to take measures not to restrict the benefits and rights granted to consumers by law. It was also reminded that, in accordance with Article 65 of the Constitution, while the state guarantees freedom of entrepreneurship, the priority of consumer rights must be taken into account.
