Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. The majority of Uzbek singers who filed declarations for income from concert activities in 2025 reported extremely modest amounts. As of April 17, 728 singers submitted their declarations, with many indicating earnings of less than one million soums.

As part of a campaign to enhance tax discipline, performers continue to file declarations for income from concert activities. According to the data presented, the total income amounted to 4 billion 694 million soums, with a taxable base of 3,728.7 million soums. The calculated tax reached 437.1 million soums.

By rating groups, the figures were distributed as follows: in the first group, 28 performers declared 1,091.7 million soums in income, paying 104.4 million soums in tax; in the second group, 57 individuals reported 585.4 million soums in income, with tax amounting to 55.7 million soums; in the third group, 643 performers declared 3,017.8 million soums in income, from which 277.0 million soums in tax was assessed.

Analysis of the declarations shows that a significant portion of artists maintain relatively low incomes. For instance, 228 people had annual incomes not exceeding 1 million soums, 396 reported up to 10 million, another 71 up to 20 million soums, 16 artists earned up to 40 million, and 11 up to 60 million. Six performers recorded higher incomes—up to 152 million soums.

The Tax Committee reminded that the deadline for tax payment is June 1, 2026. Previously, the Ministry of Justice presented a draft law that elevates control over the show business sector to a new level. Starting September 1, 2026, absolutely all performances—from large-scale concerts to private celebrations in restaurants—must be registered in advance through the Soliq mobile application.
