The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan has announced that starting from April 20 at 14:00, applications will be accepted from teachers with the highest qualification category (senior lecturer position) to receive subsidies for mortgage loans. This program is implemented based on regulations approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' decision on February 19, under which 25% of the initial down payment for a mortgage loan is covered using state budget funds.
To qualify for the subsidy, applicant teachers must meet several social criteria. Candidates are required to have at least 15 years of teaching experience, possess the highest qualification category or a senior lecturer position, and not own more than one residential property (including their spouse) with ownership rights across all regions of the republic. Additionally, their credit history must comply with the internal requirements of at least one commercial bank participating in the program.
The application process can be conducted through three methods: it is mandatory to grant permission to banks to review credit history via the personal data panel in the OneID system. Furthermore, there should be no temporary restrictions on obtaining credit history; otherwise, the application may be rejected. A total of 15 commercial banks are involved in providing subsidized mortgage loans under this initiative.
Subsidies are processed without human intervention through the electronic platform subsidy.idm.uz and paid automatically via the payment platform subsidyplatform.mf.uz of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Up to 200 billion soums are allocated annually from the state budget to finance these subsidies, reflecting a comprehensive effort to address housing challenges faced by educators in the country.
