In the first quarter of 2026, 36 crimes were committed by employees of the internal affairs bodies, and 32 employees who grossly violated service discipline were dismissed from the system. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Head of the Investigation Department Ramazon Ashrapov at a press conference on April 11. He acknowledged that among the employees faithfully performing their duties, there are also those who tarnish the system.

Ashrapov emphasized that 75% of these crimes were identified through the ministry's own initiative, and the employees who committed the crimes were dismissed from the internal affairs bodies. The collected documents have been sent to prosecutor's offices for legal action. Additionally, 32 employees who grossly violated service discipline were dismissed for negative reasons.

The deputy minister noted that as a result of extensive explanatory work on combating corruption, in January-March 2026, there were 60 cases where employees refused bribes offered by citizens and reported them to the ministry's personal security service for legal measures. Such employees are being encouraged.

Ashrapov reported that in the first quarter of the current year, 10 employees died while performing their official duties, and 39 were injured. As an example, he cited the case of Tashkent city road patrol service inspector, junior sergeant Qosimbek Eshnazarov, who died on duty on February 25. Eshnazarov was awarded the "Jasorat" medal, and his family was provided with housing in Tashkent.

According to Ashrapov, the service and efforts of employees in ensuring citizen and public safety are highly appreciated by the respected president. In 2026, 11 internal affairs employees have been awarded state honors, and by departmental order, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has encouraged over 25,000 employees. It is recalled that in 2025, 86 managers in the internal affairs system were identified for serious shortcomings in their activities, with 57 subjected to disciplinary action and 29 relieved of their positions.
