Law enforcement agencies in Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya and Andijan regions have conducted operations targeting individuals involved in the illegal sale of potent medicinal drugs. These measures led to the detention of several suspects and the disruption of their illicit activities.

In the city of Karshi, Kashkadarya region, a citizen was detained on suspicion of illegally trading strong medications. Authorities found two plastic bags containing 29 yellow and red capsules, along with 60 Gabaten tablets in his possession. The suspect was attempting to sell these drugs to another citizen for $500. All medications were seized as material evidence.

A similar incident occurred in Andijan region. In the Ulugnor district, a citizen was apprehended while selling four packages of the drug "Regapen" and one package of "Tropicamide." The transaction was valued at 670,000 Uzbek soums. The confiscated medicines have been attached to the case as evidence.

Criminal cases have been initiated under Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code, which addresses liability for the illegal trafficking of potent substances that are not classified as narcotics or psychotropics. Investigative actions are currently underway.

Previously, law enforcement dismantled a major channel for the illegal trade of potent medicines in Andijan. During those operations, approximately 6,500 units of "Tropicamide" and "Regapen" drugs, intended for black market distribution, were removed from circulation.
