President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a congratulatory message to participants of the international conference "The Role and Significance of Amir Temur and the Timurid Civilization in World History and Culture," which opened on April 9 at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent. The forum is timed to coincide with the broad celebration of the 690th anniversary of the great commander and statesman, which is being observed at the state level this year.

The address emphasizes that the Timurid era, recognized by scholars as a period of the Second Renaissance, had a fundamental influence on the development of science, art, and architecture not only in the Turan region but throughout the entire Eastern world. Special attention is given to Amir Temur's motto "Justice is the foundation of the state," which remains relevant for modern Uzbekistan.

The head of state noted that the unique achievements of dynasty representatives such as Mirzo Ulugbek, Alisher Navoi, and Babur Mirzo were made possible precisely due to the creation of conditions where enlightenment and culture were priorities for rulers. According to a special decree adopted, April has been officially declared Amir Temur Month in Uzbekistan.

During this period, scientific-practical conferences and spiritual-educational events are planned across the country. The current forum has gathered leading professors, academics, and staff from the world's largest museums, confirming the high international interest in the legacy of Sahibkiran.

The President expressed confidence that scholars' discussions will help not only to analyze more deeply the historical processes of the 14th–15th centuries but also to develop new joint projects for preserving rare manuscripts and architectural monuments.
