οΈ From March 1 to 5, the government of Uzbekistan implemented a large-scale program to repatriate its citizens from Middle Eastern countries. According to official data as of the morning of March 5, a total of 9,361 compatriots have been safely brought back to their homeland.
οΈ The majority of citizens arrived from Saudi Arabia β 8,114 people returned to the country via regular and additional charter flights. Active efforts were also carried out in the United Arab Emirates, from where 1,192 Uzbek nationals have been evacuated to date. Furthermore, special flights ensured the safe return of groups of citizens from Bahrain, Iran, and Oman.
οΈ Currently, evacuation operations are focused on countries whose airspace remains fully open to civil aviation. Once restrictions are lifted in other states in the region, the government will promptly organize additional flights to evacuate the remaining compatriots.
οΈ Official authorities are urging citizens abroad to remain calm, avoid panic, and act with utmost caution. It is crucial to strictly adhere to the internal regulations of the host country and trust only verified information disseminated by Uzbekistan's state bodies and diplomatic missions.
