️ An underground crypto mining farm illegally connected to the power grid has been discovered in Samarkand. Preliminary estimates by the energy supply company indicate damages of nearly 2.3 billion Uzbek soums.

️ The violator was identified during a joint inspection conducted by the Samarkand Territorial Department of "Uzenergoinspetsiya", law enforcement agencies, and the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.

️ According to the investigation, five mining devices were installed in a house owned by a local resident, directly connected to the electrical networks without proper permits or metering equipment.

️ Materials on this case have been forwarded to the relevant authorities for further action. Such violations not only cause significant economic damage but also place additional strain on the region's power system.

️ Previously, an illegal mining farm causing 438.7 million soums in damages to the regional energy system was found in a private home in Andijan. A criminal case has been initiated for resource theft and illegal entrepreneurship.
