️ Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has released the investigation results of an explosion in an apartment building that occurred on February 25 in Kokand. The incident resulted in the death of a 19-year-old man.

️ According to the MES expert conclusion, the direct cause of the tragedy was the use of a faulty and non-standard gas hose in the apartment owner's residence.

️ The investigation found that a connector not meeting technical standards was used during the operation of a gas stove. This led to a gas leak and subsequent explosion in a confined space.

️ The MES highlighted the importance of automated gas safety systems. A gas analyzer installed in the apartment sends a signal to a blocker during a gas leak, which automatically shuts off the gas source, reducing explosion risk.

️ The ministry urged residents to strictly adhere to gas equipment usage rules and use only functional and certified components.

️ Specialists emphasized that modern safety technologies and regular inspections of gas systems can prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

️ It is recalled that the tragedy occurred in one of the apartment buildings in the “Buston” neighborhood. The gas flash caused a fire and damage to several apartments. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 259, Part 2, Clause “a” (“Violation of fire safety rules resulting in human death”).
