️ Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded a group of women working in various fields on the occasion of March 8 — International Women's Day.
️ Among the awardees is Irina Matviyenko, head of the Nemolchi.uz project aimed at combating violence in Uzbekistan. She was honored with the "Dustlik" (Friendship) Order.
️ This project was established in 2017 to draw attention to violence against women and change societal attitudes on the issue. Its information resources provide details on how to resist violence and where to seek help.
️ Irina Matviyenko has long collaborated with Gazeta as an expert on gender equality and women's and children's rights. She holds a master's degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in gender, policy, and inequality.
️ People's Artist of Uzbekistan Bernara Kariyeva was awarded the "Mehnat Shukhrati" (Labor Glory) Order. She performed numerous roles at the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre and led the theatre from 1994 to 2002.
️ In total, 72 women were awarded medals, orders, and honorary titles for their long-term productive work and contributions to strengthening the spiritual and moral environment in society.
