The Supreme Judicial Council of Uzbekistan on May 6 made decisions on early termination of powers and dismissal of several judges.

According to the decision, investigative judge Sherali Seytirzaev of the Turakurgan district court in Khorezm region was dismissed at his own request. Also, chairman of the Baghdad district court of Fergana region, Otabek Siddikov, was dismissed upon his application.

The powers of two other judges were terminated early based on disciplinary and legislative norms:

Farrukh Samatov, criminal judge of the Samarkand regional court, was dismissed for committing an unworthy act that discredits the honor and dignity of a judge and undermines the authority of the court, as well as for violating the Code of Judicial Ethics.

Fakhriddin Khalilov, criminal judge of the Tashkent city court, was stripped of his judicial powers early for violating legality in the administration of justice. The decision takes effect from the day of its adoption.

In addition, the council made a number of appointments:

Shavkatjon Mirzaliev was appointed as investigative judge of the Nurafshan city criminal court in Tashkent region;

Shokhan Bekturganov became judge of the Yunusabad district criminal court in Tashkent;

Farrukh Bozorbaev was appointed judge of the Yakkasaray district criminal court in Tashkent;

Dildora Anvarova became investigative judge of the Shaykhantakhur district criminal court in the capital;

Botirjon Sagatov was appointed judge of the Yashnabad district criminal court in Tashkent;

Ikbol Zokirov was appointed investigative judge of the Namangan city criminal court in Namangan region.
