During a meeting with bloggers, the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan reported that six bloggers with over 3 million subscribers collectively earned 2.7 billion soums in 2025 and paid 110.4 million soums in taxes. This data highlights a disparity between the scale of their activities and their legal status.

The committee compiled a list of 110 most active representatives in the field. Among them, 55 are registered as self-employed, 33 as individual entrepreneurs, and 22 operate as individuals. Analysis shows that despite expanding incomes and workloads, many bloggers continue to use simplified legal forms.

The six top bloggers posted 360 stories and 184 advertising posts in 2025, averaging about 5 stories and ad posts per month. According to official reports based on electronic invoices, their total income reached 2.7 billion soums.

During the meeting, bloggers were informed about taxation rules for advertising income. It was noted that self-employed status does not permit hiring employees, yet some bloggers engage administrators, assistants, and other specialists.

Proposals were made to organize educational events to improve legal literacy regarding tax obligations. The committee emphasized the importance of aligning bloggers' activities with tax requirements and ensuring income transparency.

Earlier, bloggers' advertising activities in 2025 were estimated at 760.2 billion soums ($62 million). It was also reported that Russia's experience in tax control over bloggers' incomes is being studied.
