According to data from the international portal Numbeo, Uzbekistan ranks among countries with relatively cheap beef.

In the ranking updated on May 5, 101 countries were included. Uzbekistan took 66th place with a price of $10.86 (approximately 130,000 soums) per kilogram of beef.

However, beef in Uzbekistan is more expensive than in other post-Soviet countries: Azerbaijan ($10.53), Belarus ($9.25), and Kazakhstan ($8.72).

The most expensive beef is sold in Switzerland ($45.58), Norway ($32.89), and Luxembourg ($27.65). In most developed countries, meat is 3-4 times more expensive than in Uzbekistan.

The top 15 positions are occupied by countries where beef costs over $20: Germany, Sweden, France, Finland, Austria, Italy, Belgium, as well as Israel, South Korea, and Singapore.

The cheapest beef is found in Pakistan ($4.68), Nigeria ($4.73), and Kenya ($5.23).
