Tashkent city authorities announced changes to bus routes No. 106, 7, 141, and 103, effective from April 25. The announcement was made by the Main Department for Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.
Route No. 106 will be shortened: instead of running from the Saodat shopping center to the International Airport, it will now operate between the Uchkhoz mahalla and the International Airport stops.
According to officials, the section between the airport and Saodat shopping center is already served by eight routes (No. 11, 40, 45, 47, 67, 76, 77, and 94) with a total of 97 large and extra-large buses, ensuring alternative transport options remain available.
On route No. 7, the one-way section from Yunusabad 19th block to 9th block will be altered. The bus will now travel via Yangi Shahar and Rikhsili streets, bypassing Amir Temur Street.
Data shows that on the stretch from Yangi Yunusabad Street to the Yunusabad Dehqon Bozori stop on Amir Temur Street, routes No. 5, 67, 83, and 157 (42 buses in total) already operate.
Route No. 141 (Karvon Bozori – Pakhtakor Metro) will be partially rerouted: from Pakhtakor station, it will go along Botir Zokirov and Alisher Navoi streets toward the Alisher Navoi Cinema stop.
Route No. 103 (Chilonzor Buyum Bozori – Chorsu Shopping Center) will also change: buses will now travel via Furkat Street and Alisher Navoi Street, bypassing the National Drama Theater stop.
The authorities stated that the changes aim to optimize overlapping routes, reduce intervals, and improve passenger convenience.
Earlier, changes were introduced on routes No. 13 and 69. Buses from the Izza area toward the city center now follow Poygoh – Guliston – Qovunchi – Zargarlik streets.
