In Andijan, the Ramadan Eid morning begins earlier than usual. Men wash, dress in new clothes, and rush to mosques, while women sweep streets and courtyards to create a festive atmosphere. Newspaper correspondent Mumtozbegim Abdumumin captured moments reflecting the region's festive appearance and unique Eid joy.

On the city streets, traffic stops, and streams of people head toward mosques. To ensure security, National Guard personnel and medical workers are on duty in the area. Although the "Uyghur" Friday mosque can accommodate 3,500 worshippers, on Eid day, the mosque courtyard and surrounding streets are also filled with people.

Women observe this scene from a distance and finally raise their hands in unison with the imam during the prayer. The sound of thousands of people softly murmuring "amen" envelops everything. "The Eid prayer is performed first in the Fergana Valley, especially in Andijan," says the imam addressing the congregation.

After the Eid prayer, the main crowd moves to cemeteries and temporary markets around them. For example, a unique festive bazaar is organized between the Bobosaddin-ota cemetery and the Gulistan neighborhood. All national foods are available here: hot bread, pashmak, halva, nishalda, kaymak, hasp.

A distinctive feature of the holiday is henna on women's hands. This tradition brings smiles to girls' faces. When hands decorated with red patterns are raised in prayer, the joy of Eid appears even brighter. Thus, the festive mood on the blessed streets of Andijan continues until evening.
