The Russian government organized the evacuation of 632 people from Iran amid escalating tensions in the region. Among those evacuated are not only Russians but also citizens of several other countries, including Uzbekistan.
According to Russian Consul General in Isfahan Andrey Zhiltsov, the evacuation took place under conditions of intense bombardment and missile attacks. Through four evacuation flights, authorities managed to ensure the safe exit of people from the combat zone.
The evacuees include employees of various organizations, such as personnel from the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant and their family members. In addition to Russian citizens, foreigners were evacuated: 81 citizens of Belarus, 27 citizens of Tajikistan, as well as citizens of Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.
It is separately noted that among the evacuees are three citizens of Uzbekistan. They also left Iran as part of the organized evacuation groups.
