US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are set to travel to Pakistan on Saturday for talks with Iran, the White House announced. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has already arrived in Islamabad.

The visit comes amid stalled negotiations between the US and Iran, with uncertainty lingering over whether Tehran will return to the negotiating table. The diplomatic push follows weeks of deadlock.

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that Iran still has an “open window” to reach a deal and abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons in “meaningful and verifiable ways.” He did not specify a deadline.

On day 57 of the conflict, tensions remain high. Iran has yet to confirm its participation in any new round of talks, leaving the path to a potential agreement uncertain.
