On April 24, the Yakkasaray District Criminal Court in Tashkent delivered a verdict in the case against officials of Credit House, accused of defrauding nearly 2,000 people who sought to purchase homes. The Tashkent city courts announced the ruling.
According to the verdict, five defendants received prison sentences of varying lengths, while three women were given suspended sentences. Specific terms and conditions were not disclosed.
The court also ordered the confiscation of assets to compensate victims. Two Toyota cars worth 681 million soums belonging to Dmitry Bazhenov and Alisher Shamsiddinov, a Spark owned by Shukhrat Makhmadov valued at 93 million soums, and a Cobalt owned by Gayrat Mirkamolov worth 126 million soums were seized. Funds in the company accounts will be distributed equally among the victims.
The total damage caused is estimated at 450 billion soums. Of this, over 300 billion soums have already been compensated by the defendants. Recovery of the remaining amount is ongoing.
The criminal case against Credit House and In-fin-stroy Invest officials was initiated in May 2025 under Article 168, Part 4, Clause 'a' of the Criminal Code (large-scale fraud). In January, the President referenced the fraud by these two companies, noting that organized crime, once known as 'street' crime, is now infiltrating profitable sectors under the guise of business.
