At the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan border, 190.8 kg of hashish was discovered concealed in Afghan cauldrons inside a truck. The State Security Service (SSS) press service officially reported this incident. The truck, driven by a 36-year-old citizen under surveillance and residing in the Denov district of Surkhandarya region, was inspected at the border, revealing 750 cauldrons.

The cauldrons were reportedly shipped by a manufacturer to a company address in one of the Central Asian republics. During the cargo inspection, border guards and customs officers noticed that the walls of some cauldrons were coated with an unknown substance and, upon opening them, found hashish. A total of 210 such cauldrons were identified.

Investigative actions are being carried out regarding the crime. This case highlights ongoing challenges with drug trafficking methods and border security in the region. The Uzbek authorities are focusing on strengthening border controls amid such incidents.
