The construction of a 52 km toll road on the Tashkent-Charvak route is planned to be completed within three years. Asliddin Isayev, deputy director of the "Avtoyo‘linvest" agency under the Committee of Automobile Roads of the Ministry of Transport, stated in an interview with "O‘zbekiston 24" TV channel that project documentation is being prepared, with international consulting companies involved. Preliminary agreements have been reached with Qatar's Protocol Capital Group and South Korea's Korea Expressway Corporation.

New details have been announced regarding the Tashkent-Samarkand toll road project. According to Asliddin Isayev, Deputy Director of the "Avtoyolinvest" agency under the Committee of Automobile Roads of the Ministry of Transport, in an interview with the "Uzbekistan 24" TV channel, the road will start from the ring road in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, run parallel to the existing route, and extend to the Samarkand region. It was noted that traffic flow on this direction is currently high, with 55,000–60,000 vehicles moving daily.

The World Bank has approved a $10.6 million grant for Uzbekistan, aimed at reducing leaks in the country's aging gas transportation infrastructure and preserving natural gas for household and industrial supply. The funding is part of efforts to address systemic inefficiencies in the energy sector.

The body of an Uzbek citizen who died in a road traffic accident in India's Punjab state has been repatriated to his homeland with the assistance of the embassy. This was reported by the “Dunyo” news agency. The incident occurred on March 10 in the city of Zirakpur, Punjab state, resulting in the death of an Uzbek citizen identified as T.M.

Due to rising temperatures in Uzbekistan, the summer base norm for natural gas consumption – 100 cubic meters per month – comes into effect from March 16. This norm will remain in force until November 1, with exceptions in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm Region, where it applies until October 1, aligning with seasonal energy demand shifts.

In the coming days, most parts of Uzbekistan are expected to experience predominantly dry and warm weather, aligning with the climatic norm for mid-March. According to data from Uzhydromet, no precipitation is forecast across the republic from March 16 to 18. Only brief rains are possible in southern and central regions during this period: on March 17–18, they may occur in Surkhandarya Region, and on March 18, they could affect some districts of Kashkadarya and Samarkand Regions.

According to the Podrobno.uz agency, residents of Uzbekistan in March have gained the opportunity to pay for an additional 50 cubic meters of natural gas at the base tariff. This is due to the extension of "winter" consumption norms because of cold weather at the start of the month and the subsequent transition to summer schedules as temperatures warmed.

Uzbekistan's 2024 cotton harvest, according to official data, reached approximately 3.5 million tons, marking the highest yield in recent years. This achievement is highlighted as a result of the government's policies to modernize agriculture and diversify the cotton industry.

Uzbekistan has marked a notable development in its agricultural sector with the delivery of a batch of 100 modern agricultural drones. These unmanned aerial vehicles are intended for monitoring farmlands, applying fertilizers, and protecting crops. The shipment was facilitated through an initiative by the Ministry of Agriculture with support from the World Bank.
