Uzbekistan has recorded an increase in the level of family well-being. According to an analysis by the Scientific Research Institute 'Family and Gender', conducted in March–April 2026, the overall family happiness index reached 0.618 points, corresponding to a high level.

The survey covered nearly 12,700 respondents in Karakalpakstan, all regions of the country, and Tashkent. The assessment was carried out using a comprehensive methodology that includes 8 key indicators and 21 sub-indicators — from economic status to satisfaction with family life and the quality of public services.

The index is calculated on a scale from –1 to +1, with values above 0.5 considered high. Thus, the current result confirms a steady improvement compared to previous years: in 2023 the index was 0.560, and in 2025 — 0.611.

Experts note positive dynamics in several areas. For instance, the economic well-being indicator rose to 0.439, the employment level to 0.489, and satisfaction with government bodies and services reached 0.514.

Growth was also observed in education — the index increased to 0.522, while the healthy lifestyle indicator reached 0.605. Particularly notable growth was shown in satisfaction with family life — up to 0.750.

Indicators of family values (0.793) and demographic stability (0.831) remain traditionally high.

It is worth noting that in the global ranking of the happiest countries, the World Happiness Report 2026, Uzbekistan retained its 53rd place. Experts assessed the level of life satisfaction in the republic at 6.283 points out of 10. The report was published on the eve of the International Day of Happiness, celebrated on March 20.
