A bill aimed at protecting workers' rights and simplifying labor relations is being considered in Uzbekistan's Legislative Chamber. The document seeks to eliminate excessive bureaucracy in hiring and guarantee timely payment of wages.

Under the new rules, collecting unnecessary certificates when hiring will become a thing of the past – candidates will only need to provide their personal identification number (PINFL). The only exception is for those liable for military service, who will need to present a military ID. The practice of providing paper extracts from employment records will also be completely discontinued.

One of the most anticipated changes is the introduction of financial liability for employers who delay wages. If payments are overdue, the employer will be required to pay the employee additional compensation for each day of delay. Additionally, strict protection of workers from harassment and violence in the workplace will be implemented.

As part of digitalization, Face-ID and electronic signatures will be officially equated to personal signatures on paper. This will significantly streamline document flow and save time.
