Forbes Kazakhstan published its annual ranking of the 75 richest businessmen in the country on May 8, with their total wealth reaching $60.84 billion.
Vyacheslav Kim remains the leader for the third consecutive year, with a fortune estimated at $7.8 billion, largely due to his stake in the Kaspi group.
Over the past year, the combined wealth of the ranking participants increased by more than $3 billion, and the average capital per entrepreneur rose to $811 million.
The top three also includes Vladimir Kim, with a net worth of $5.9 billion, who controls KAZ Minerals and Bank RBK.
The third spot is shared by Timur Kulibayev, Dinara Kulibayeva, and Bulat Utemuratov, each valued at $5.4 billion.
Notably, Nurlan Smagulov entered the global billionaires list for the first time in 2026, with a capital of $1.3 billion. His company, Astana Motors, is active in the Uzbek market as an official distributor of Hyundai and BYD brands.
The ranking also features Dariga Nazarbayeva, who took 41st place with a fortune of $550 million. The daughter of Kazakhstan's first president, together with her son, owns major media assets, including the NTC TV channel and several radio stations.
The overall growth in assets of the wealthiest individuals in the neighboring republic indicates a significant strengthening of private capital in the mining, financial, and automotive sectors of the region.
