In the Amudarya district of Karakalpakstan, a large-scale electricity theft has been uncovered. According to the press service of regional electric networks, inspectors discovered an illegal connection to the grid by the enterprise E. T. C., located in the Navoiy mahalla.

The investigation revealed that the organization had been using energy resources without a formal contract. The total damage caused to the state amounted to 6.2 billion Uzbek soums.

All collected documents and evidence have been handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
