After abnormally warm weather, Uzbekistan is set to experience rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds. From May 10, temperatures in some areas will drop to 20 degrees Celsius.
Today, dry and very warm weather is expected across Uzbekistan. Air temperatures will reach 34–37°C, up to 39°C in southern regions. In northwestern areas, it will be slightly cooler at 28–33°C.
On May 9, most of the country will remain dry. In the afternoon, brief rain and thunderstorms are possible in parts of Bukhara, Navoi, Samarkand, and Jizzakh regions. Daytime temperatures will drop to 28–33°C.
On May 10, rain will affect most of Uzbekistan, with thunderstorms in places. Heavy precipitation is possible in some areas. Relatively cool weather is expected, with daytime temperatures of 20–25°C.
On May 11, brief rain and thunderstorms are forecast in Tashkent region, the Fergana Valley, and overnight/morning in Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions. No precipitation is expected elsewhere. Temperatures will rise by 2–3°C.
On May 9, winds will strengthen in the north and desert zones, and on May 10–11 in some areas, reaching 15–20 m/s. Gusts may hit 23–25 m/s in places. Dust phenomena are possible.
In foothill and mountainous areas, intermittent rain is expected, with heavy rain and thunderstorms on May 10–11. Mudflows and flash floods are possible.
In Tashkent, no precipitation is expected on May 8–9. Temperatures will be 34–36°C on May 8 and 30–32°C on May 9.
On May 10, occasional rain and possible thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will be 20–22°C.
On May 11, brief rain and thunderstorms are forecast. Temperatures will be 23–25°C. Winds will shift from easterly to westerly at 3–8 m/s, possibly strengthening to 10–12 m/s in places. Dust phenomena may occur in parts of the capital on May 9.
