The traditional Tashkent Flowers Fest 2026 has begun in Tashkent. The event is being held from May 7 to 9 on the square near the National Library of Uzbekistan.

According to the press service of the city administration, the festival is aimed at "drawing public attention to environmental education, nature protection, forming ecological consciousness among youth, and developing a 'green' urban environment."

Additionally, the festival seeks to enhance Tashkent's tourist appeal, create a free and meaningful cultural recreation environment for residents and guests, effectively use public spaces, and promote floriculture, landscape design, and greening culture.

To create decorative landscapes, 2 million flowers and shrubs were used on the square. For flower tunnels, hanging flowers, and installations, 18,000 shrubs were utilized.

In the center of the square, visitors can see a flower composition shaped like the "Independence Monument" from the New Uzbekistan park, as well as flower-adorned dinosaurs, a butterfly, a peacock, a cart, retro cars, and an 18-meter airplane.

The event features concerts by artists, performances by cultural centers and amateur groups. Exhibitions of handicrafts and national dishes are also organized.

The city administration reported that last year the festival was visited by over 100,000 foreign and local tourists. This year, the number is expected to reach 150,000.
